New Release: Contractor Compliance Map View

Last updated

Last Updated: November 2026

Objective

This guide covers the November 2026 update to the Map View in Contractor Compliance. You'll learn how to see your sites and contractors on one map, narrow them down with filters, select an area of the map, and act on the selected sites in bulk.

Overview

The Map View in Contractor Compliance used to give you a visual of the areas your contractors cover. It now works as a planning tool. Sites and contractors show on the same map, both can be filtered, and you can select a group of sites by drawing an area on the map. Selected sites open the same Bulk Actions dialog you already use on the Sites page, so you can act on a whole area without going back to tables.

Prerequisites

  • Contractors set up under CRM > Contractors, with their compliance documents uploaded in Contractor Compliance.

  • Sites with correct addresses and geofences, so they land in the right place on the map.

Expanded Feature Breakdown

1. Sites and contractors on one map

In the left navigation menu, expand CRM, click Contractor Compliance, then open the Map View tab. Your sites and your contractors now appear together, so you can see at a glance which areas are covered and which sites still need someone.

  • Labels for Contractors.

    • Compliant = Green

    • Not Compliant = Red

  • Labels for Sites: This highlights the compliance status based on contractor assignment.

    • Compliant - Only compliant contractors assigned to this site.

    • Partially Compliant - A mix of compliant and not compliant contractors assigned to this site.

    • Not Compliant - Only not compliant contractors assigned to this site.

    • No Contractor - No contractor assigned to this site.

A sidebar on the left provides summary counts for contractors (compliant and not compliant) and sites (compliant, partially compliant, not compliant, and no contractor). Top controls include toggle buttons for contractors and sites, filter menus, and a tool to select specific areas on the map.

2. Filters for sites and contractors

Use the filters to narrow both layers, for example to show only compliant contractors, or only the sites you still need to assign.

3. Select an area on the map

Draw an area on the map to select every site inside it, instead of picking sites one by one from a list. Select a shape or draw a polygon. To complete your selection, continue holding the mouse button until you finish drawing the area.

A dropdown menu provides options for selecting areas by rectangle, freeform shape, or polygon. Below the map, a table displays a list of 22 contractors within the selected area, including their compliance status, activity status, and location details.

4. Actions from the map

After you select an area, click any row in the results list to open that profile's detail page. From there, you can update documents, edit the profile, or review assignments.

Pro-Tips & Best Practices

  • Keep your Compliance Settings up to date for accurate data. Go to Settings > Contractor Compliance and make any adjustments you need.

  • Check compliance before you assign. Filter to compliant contractors first, then select the open sites around them.

  • Keep geofences accurate. A site with a wrong address shows in the wrong place on the map and can be missed in an area selection.

Troubleshooting

  • A site doesn't show on the map: check that it has an address and geofence on the Sites page.

  • A contractor doesn't show: check the contractor filters and whether the contractor is set to Inactive.
