Adding Sites and Managing Site Details
Last updated
Sites are the foundation of your Sitefotos account: every photo, form, and service is recorded against one. There are two ways to create them, and a detail page where everything about the site lives.
Add a Single Site
Open Sites and start a new site.
Type the street address into the address search field and pick the right match from the list.
A geofence boundary appears around the property. Drag its corners to match the area your crews actually work; use Reposition later if it needs adjusting.
Fill in the site information fields, such as the site name and any details your team needs.
Save.
Add Many Sites at Once
On the Sites page, open the bulk upload.
Drag in your own spreadsheet or use the provided template. If you use your own, the headers must include Name, Address, City, State, and Zip.
If your spreadsheet has latitude and longitude columns, those exact coordinates are used. Otherwise each site is placed from its address, with the geofence drawn automatically.
After the upload, open each site’s detail page when you are ready to add the finer details.
The Site Detail Page
Click a site’s name in the list to open its detail page. Each section has a job:
Site Information: name, square footage, property type, zone, trades, plus operating hours and site notes. Notes, hours, and maps entered here are what crews see in the app through a form’s Site Info section.
Client Information and Internal Managers: who the site belongs to and who owns it internally, picked from your Contacts.
Contractors: which contractor companies are assigned to the site. This assignment is what makes the site appear in a contractor’s app.
Maps: site maps for the property. A map can be pushed to the mobile app so crews see it on site.
Assign a map to your site right here on the Site Detail page or in your Map Builder dashboard.
Click the mobile phone icon.
If the icon is green, the map will now be displayed in the mobile app when a form includes a Site Info field.
Repeat this process with as many maps as you need. All of them will be displayed in a list for the user to select. Use clear naming conventions to avoid confusion.
Activity, Files/Docs, and Pricing Contracts: a log of meetings and calls, site-specific documents, and any pricing contracts attached to the site.
API Integrations: connection details when the site is linked to an external system.
