Checking in, Completing forms, and Adding Photos On Site
Last updated
This article walks through the app flow and the rules around it.
A site visit in the Sitefotos app follows one rhythm: check in when you arrive, complete the form, add photos, and check out when you leave.
The Visit, Step by Step
Open the app and find your job: the site you are visiting, or the work order assigned to you.
Open the form for the work and tap Check in when you arrive on site.
Fill out the form. Complete every required field; the form will not submit without them.
Add photos where the form asks for them. Take them through the app so they attach to the right spot on the form.
Submit the form and Check out before you drive off.
Rules the App Enforces
One check-in at a time. You are checked in to one form on one site. To start another form, check out of the current one first. The app reminds you if you forget to check out.
Clock in before check in. Some companies use Sitefotos time tracking. If yours does, the app asks you to Clock In on the Time screen before it lets you check in to a form.
Check out before you log out. Signing out or switching language while checked in is blocked until you check out.
Why Check-In and Check-Out Matter
Your check-in and check-out times are the record of the visit. They appear in the reports your company and their clients see, they set the service times on the work you log, and on work orders they show the job actually happened when it happened.
Checking in from the truck at the site is fine. Checking in later from home is not: the times would say you were on site when you were not.
